Random Cuteness ;-)

As soon as he heard Jeff start the lawnmower, he went straight for his and started going through the yard. I love when he imitates Jeff, so cute.

Grammy and Papaw bought Joseph this t-ball set. Jeff and I were pretty surprised that Joseph just picked up the bat and started swinging away and making contact more times than not. We don't have a t-ball set here and I can't think of any other place where he might have learned how to hit the ball. The stance and everything was right. Also, we realized he was swinging left. I still don't know what hand Joseph is going to use. He apparently bats left, will throw left and right, and eats left. Christian, I am pretty sure is going to be a lefty. He sucks his left thumb, always rolls left and grabs toys with his left.







Sucking his toes is his new soothie. He has two bottom teeth and the other day I noticed his left toe was all scratched up. I first thought, Joseph, but then realized, that is from his teeth!

Tilly Belle at camp. She walked around for the longest time with this candy bar. She was going from person to person just begging for them to open it for her. She would squeal, say, "Dada," and then hold up the candy bar. She is so stinkin' cute.

This is no surprise. We are trying to get things ready and out the door so we can make it to camp on time, then we here Joseph yelling, "HOLP, HOLP," (That's how he says help). I knew exactly where he was and where he isn't supposed to be.

He was in the middle of this mat at one time, but he wiggled off and got turned around and was watching cartoons with Joseph.

The week before camp Joseph had the stomach bug again. For three out of the six days he was sick, he seemed fine. He would throw up first thing in the morning and then play all day like he was perfectly fine. But then Monday arrived, the fourth day, and he was just laid out!

A while back, my dad, Stacey and I took Joseph to a bowling alley in Rockwall. I took a picture of his two spares and of him cheering himself on.

Here is Christian watching Joseph jump on the bed. This is a common occurrence and now that Joseph knows he can get Christian to laugh, he does it a lot. I love C's reaction all the time...you can tell he wants to join Joseph. (Listen closely and you can hear Joseph saying, "Kisstan, watch, Kisstan, watch.")

The other video is of Joseph and his new task. It really was like overnight that he started climbing and jumping on and off everything. I found the lamp inside the playpen one day and it is now broken from Joseph jumping off of the nightstand. Oh well; when I go to turn on the lamp and it falls over, I think of my little man, Joe.

Schlitterbahn '09

This past weekend we packed up and headed to Schlitterbahn with our family and friends. It was probably the most fun I have had in a long time. Joseph loved this place so much and was on 'go' from the minute we arrived and until we left. I got to thinking on the way home, he only came and took a break twice for about a total of 30 minutes the entire day. My mom came in to help and it was a blessing. Joseph drug her on some slides not just once, but about 20 times. It was a blast for me to see the excitement and joy in his face every time he came down the slide. He was asking me yesterday and today about the water and slides... I am thinking we might have to make another trip before the summer is over with. Who's with me?

Still had some energy after Schlitterbahn, to race Grammy. I wish I had the energy of a 2 year old.

My sweet little angel. He did great all day. He ate, slept and was merry from 10a-5p.

4 Month Stats

Weight: 14.53 (44%)
Height: 25.50 (71%)
Christian seems like a bigger baby to me than what Joseph was, but Joseph was a pound and a inch bigger at 4 months.

What Christian is up to now at 4 months:
-Still loves his swing and bouncy seat.
-Out of 7 nights, he will only wake up once or twice a week.
-He only nurses about 5-6 times/day and a super fast eater too.
-Loves watching Joseph. When he hears Joseph, he will stop nursing or if I am holding him, he is trying to turn around to see him.
-Loves his Mama most of all ;-) (At this age, Joseph loved to be held by Jeff more than me.)
-Will watch Baby Einstein.
-So close to turning over and laughing out loud. I have gotten a giggle here and there, but not a big belly laugh.
-A little more feisty than what I remember Joseph being at this age. Christian will arch his back and wiggle away from me when he is upset on the changing table.
-This kid can scream! Not cry, scream!

Since I don't update on this big boy, I will do that today. Joseph, at 2, is up too:

-Speaking in complete sentences.
-Started him on regular toothpaste. Trying to get the spitting it out part down. He won't spit for us while brushing his teeth, but he will spit out his milk, water, chewed up food, and many more at the table.
-Will sing songs and do motions.
-Started asking, "why." I have realized that it all comes back to the same answer, "because God created it that way."
-Can remember certain things about places. (Ex: Every time we drive by Pearland Oilers Stadium, he will say, "helicopter, eggs." Referring to the Egg drop there at Easter)
-Is an amazing brother! Is constantly kissing and loving on CH. Joseph has never once hit or bit Christian. He has even started asking Christian, "Ah, wha de matter." and "Are you otay?" if he is crying. He is always asking me these questions too... I must have a serious or concerned look on my face all the time.
-Not potty trained yet. We plan to start that before Kindergarten.
-Becoming much more independent. He will get upset if you try to help him with something.
-Likes to pray at the dinner table.

There, my boys are growing like weeds and becoming wonderful little boys (if you ask me). I love them so much and having boys is one of the best things in the world.
(We are going to potty train in August if you were really wanting to know).

I believe that I am on a consistent routine of blogging about every 2 weeks. So here is our update. The Friday of Memorial day weekend, I broke down and went to a clinic (the last post I mentioned that I might be getting sick). I was in so much pain that Friday I couldn't stand it any longer. I went in, just wanting to skip all intros and get the drugs. After talking to the nurse practitioner she examined me and I had an ear infection and sinus infection. Now I could get something to make the intense pain go away. Yea!

We were going to go to the beach Memorial Day weekend, but we had some down pour that Sunday afternoon so we decided to stay home and have Mark and Megan over. We ate some crock pot pizza, salad, chocolate chip cake and played some wii...it was awesome. Memorial day, we did absolutely nothing. It was quiet sad because it was a beautiful day and I just wanted to be outside, grilling, and swimming. Really wish my parents had been in town and we could have had all three of those things. Instead they were taking in the sound waves at the Indy 500 where their man (and my fav) Helio took the top prize. Lucky ducks!

Since then not much has happened. Just been some long, uneventful weeks and weekends. My baby turns 4 months tomorrow and he will have his check up on Wednesday. I plan to post his stats. Then on Saturday we are heading to Schlitterbahn with the usual suspects, plus one more special person, Grammy!! Can't wait. Hopefully, Joseph won't get a disease before then. Seems like he has missed some big things this year because he has been getting sick or has been sick. I really want him to be able to go and have fun in the water and on the slides.

He hasn't sat in the high chair for a long time, but the other night we put Christian in it while we ate. Joseph was so upset with that move. So then the next few days Joseph ate his meals in the high chair. Marking his territory, I guess.




A place Joseph is not to be while Christian is lying there. Joseph climbed in while I left the room to go wash my hands. He isn't allowed in the crib with Christian because he likes to jump and I don't won't to give Christian shaken baby syndrome.

We're still here

Wow, what a past couple of weeks we have had. Many pictures to follow, so I hope you all enjoy.


Two weeks ago, I asked my sister in law to take Christian's 3 month pictures and me oh my, she did awesome. I can't stop looking at them and smiling at the wonderful work she did.


Mother's Day was really sweet as usual. We went to church and then out to lunch to a really fancy, kid friendly establishment....CiCi's Pizza. Okay, maybe not classy, but very family friendly which was what I was looking for. The boys contributed to my camera envelope, which I decided to start before my birthday. Yes, I am like every other person in the family and want a spiffy camera. Jeff claims I want one because everyone else has one, but I disagree with that. I am looking at this item as an investment. I want to be able to capture life's precious moments, but it is really hard when the precious item won't sit still long enough for you to go click click. I also find it very annoying too that more times than not, the picture will be blurry because the precious little ones won't be still. So, I am wanting to invest in a camera that will meet my expectations and possibly exceed them. I also received some very yummy smelling bath items and am looking forward to using it if I ever get a chance to be alone.


Last Friday night, Jeff and I hosted a kid's movie night. Jeff first came up with this idea when I was nine months prego, and I turned it down faster than ants going after a cherry snow cone. Nothing is a good idea when you are nine months pregnant. So, one day, I started thinking about it and mentioned it to Jeff again. I told him I think I could be of some help now since Christian is super easy. So we had: Mark, Jack, June, Joseph, Tilly, John, Luis, and Christian all under one roof without the parents. We cheated a little and asked Kirk and Anna to come help... boy were they a blessing. Highly recommend these two if you ever need assistance or a babysitter. They helped get plates ready, played with all the kids, held babies and they even cleaned up Joseph's room! IT WAS SPOTLESS! I gave out an audible gasp when I walked in his room after everyone left. I just wasn't expecting it. The kids were absolutely amazing. They were well behaved and very mannered. The thing that kept coming through my mind all night was, these kiddos have some wonderful parents!! They were just so much fun. I spent most of the night with June, Tilly, and Luis. June absolutely cracks me up. Tilly is the sweetest little thing I have ever come across and Luis is just very mild mannered and respectful. It was just a great night. They had pizza, popcorn, 7up, cookies, and we watched the movie Bolt. Joseph loved all the company and was talking about it the next day!


Then on Saturday, we went to the property and celebrated Spencer graduating from UH. It was a wonderful time with family and the weather was perfect. We had some tasty brisket, played some hot box and visited a lot.


There you go, an update of our last two weeks. Other than all these things, the two little ones and myself have been sick. I took Joseph in last week after two weeks of a runny nose and cough. He ended up having a sinus infection and then on Friday I started to feel crummy. Sore neck, throat, and plugged up nose. I was thinking I might have an ear infection because I have been really dizzy these past couple of days and can't hear anything...'how's that different from any other day,' you ask...well, I really can't hear. Finally, after several failed attempts to pop my ear, it finally did it for me today. I was in the car when I did it...not recommended, it made me dizzy afterward and I may not have been driving in a straight line. I said, "praise the Lord," when it popped and Joesph chimed in from the back seat "Lord, Lord." Christian also got all of our stuff. With both myself and Joseph kissing him constantly, he was bound to get something. He has an, what I have diagnosed as an eye cold. Nastiness!! Please pray that we all get well soon. Not joking, one of the boys has either been on meds, sick or both since Christian was 6 wks! No LIE! CH had thrush for 6 weeks, Joseph has had an ear infection, horrible virus, two rounds of colds and to top it off, sinus infection!



This weekend, we are planning some fun things, so more pictures to come. Until then, peace.

(Above) After I picked up Christian, Joseph ran over to the blanket, laid down, and looked at me. I guess he was trying to imitate Christian because I was giving him lots of attention and oohing and ahhing over him. I think Joseph was looking to get the same response.

Just good timing. When we took his 3 month pictures two weeks ago, he couldn't hold his head up very well, and yesterday, I caught this. Amazing how much they change in two weeks.

I am looking forward to all these kiddos growing up together. I can see us hosting many more movie nights and sleepovers.
